I know I haven't been in much this week and there is a good reason for that my stepfather has been in the hospital. As of this afternoon at 4:30 central he passed away after we released him off life support. I am with my mother in spirit since I can not be with her in body. My husband is staying home with my tomorrow from work even his boss told him to stay home. I am taking it pretty hard with her heck even my cell phone is taking it hard. (it came close to losing its charge during her last phone call) I hope to be back in commision with in the next week or two.

He was given a burial with full military honors. I found out from my mother that he was on the USS Kearsage, Lexington and the Oriskany as well. The officer that did the service said he read his records and that he was hero. Mom and I are so proud of him.
